Electro-Sensors, Inc. began operations

 in 1968 in St. Louis Park¥<≠, Minnesota. It was ∞₽β®founded by James P. Slattery to serv←✔e material handling and proc₽&ess control applications in industr ♠ial plants. The original products inc×₩luded the Bin-Levetrol level sensor which sen•♣•✔sed presence or absence ofσ​β material and functioned as a high  λ or low level controδ€$l for bins or hoppers used in d₩←×λry bulk material han×φ<←dling systems. Another core prod↕∞§uct was a speed monitor for monit‌≥∏oring critical shaft speeds and was u‍‍♦♥sed on conveyor belts,∑↕"♥ screw conveyors, bucket elλ£β©evators, and similar proc£₽↕ess equipment. This sp↑∞ ✘eed monitor would shut off the driven e>λ♦quipment if proper speed was not mai$¶λ"ntained. As the company grew, ‍¥≥other sensing technologies and pαεroducts were added to monitor tempe$<✘ rature, vibration, or positio§₽n in industrial applicatio★♣∏ns. These products include ₹ shaft speed sensors, s>∞haft speed switches, bear®δing temperature sensor← ₽s, belt misalignment devices, vibrat®><ion switches, positiδ£α•on monitors for slide gates and val↑↑↑ves, tilt switches, motor speed c≤±φ∞ontrollers, and complete hazard m₹<πλonitoring systems for process↓∞•ing plants.
